Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA)

Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE), an approved MyCAA program school, provides quality and accessible online training and development to help you achieve academic and professional goals. KCE's business and finance, information technology, and health care certificate programs consist of interactive coursework offering students the flexibility to work anywhere and anytime. These programs may be completed in 12 months or less. KCE’s Fire and EMS division offers convenient, cost-efficient online courses that provide firefighters and EMS personnel with current continuing education.

Spouses of Active Duty or activated National Guard or Reserve service members may be eligible for the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account benefit. The benefit offers up to $6000 in educational tuition assistance for military spouses.


To become a KCE student through the MyCAA program please follow the steps below:

    1. Determine your eligibility for the MyCAA program on the MyCAA website

  • Military spouses may call a Military OneSource Career/Education Consultant for assistance at 1-800-342-9647 
  • After the application is submitted, the military spouse will be notified of his/her tuition assistance eligibility status through the MyCAA program messaging system

    2. Register for your certificate program by calling 866-318-7196 or contact your Kaplan         representative; Amy Steinberg, Bruce Howe or Carolyn Redford.

    3. Military spouses request Tuition Assistance (TA) for courses by calling your MyCAA program         counselor at 1-800-342-9647 and creating your career plan.

    4. Contact your Kaplan representative to confirm your KCE program enrollment.

KCE’s business and finance certificate programs are among the keys to qualifying for new and respected management and executive positions in today’s highly competitive global industry.

IT PROGRAMS
With KCE's specialized IT certificate programs, study how to develop custom, proprietary technology solutions that can give you a competitive edge or benefit-- from implementing advanced Windows-based software across any organization to installing Cisco-based network infrastructures.

HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS
Health and human services professionals can choose from unique and dynamic corporate employee training programs and earn certificates in health care professions.

FIRE AND EMS TRAINING

Although certain programs at Kaplan University are designed to prepare students to take various certification or licensing exams, the University cannot guarantee the student will pass those exams. In some cases, field experience and/or background checks may be necessary to be eligible to take or to successfully pass the exams.
